Im not even just in favor of this because I like weed, i dont really i grew out of it years ago. Everybody is struggling with property taxes, rent is high a 700$ apartment i rented in 2016 is now 1400$, our schools are a joke, our infrastructure is falling apart, all the while we are hemorrhaging potential tax income, we could use to alleviate the pressure,to every single state on our border because they have legal weed. Vermont dispensaries give discounts to nh residents. Let's catch up to the rest of New England.

I feel we have many test cases we can look at in other states. In Colorado, they recently reported that many teens are not interested because, now that it is legal, they have seen it and are not interested. We also see that the tax CO is charging goes to education, and that has made a huge impact.

As a long time medical provider I see deeply into the effects of Marijuana on our NH citizens. It is a well know major cause of anxiety, cyclic vomiting and sabotuer of potential. Additionally, legalizing it sends the wrong message to our teens and young adults. I have even had patients say that they thought that it was a beneficial substance because it is legalized in some areas. Lastly I am concerned for unwanted exposure in our youth. For example, my grandchildren live in a small, 6 unit apartment building and have to walk up a flight of stairs that directly passes there downstairs neighbors window. They neighbor smokes pot and the grandchildren are exposed to the fumes as they waft out the window. I do not agree with pot use and, unfortunatly, its use can directly affect others nearby. Pot users and other proponents will consistently and vehemently attack these points. However, there are many more NH citizens that do not use this substance than those that do and these points are entirely valid.
