Discuss new revenue sources that do not involve taxation

From "Welcome to The New Hampshire Forum!"

Go to the project

I have browsed the topics and whenever the subject of budgeting or revenue is brought up, the reflex is to immediately discuss change in taxation. As taxpayer, I'd like to help my state and my town to explore ideas that can help THEM make more money so they have wiggle room in their budget, and thus leave MY budget alone. ;) I've seen some ideas pop up on stand-alone topics, but I'd like to pool these ideas in a single discussion. Bring them here!

NH protects the rich from taxes, the well off are not contributing to the state's upkeep. We need a new way to raise funding for schools, one of the biggest expenses for towns. Everyone is against an income tax, so what are other ways to generate some funding for our schools ? We already pay high fees for vehicles, which are really just a tax, so what other way is there to get some funds ? The state needs to do something other than school choice and charter schools, that does not help working families. If people don't like their local school they should pay for private schools out of their own pocket or move. We need something other than property tax for funds. An income tax will never happen in NH . We do need property tax relief,
