Education Funding

The majority of our kids come to school and do not have a sense of safety in their lives. This underlying issue puts their brains in a state that does not allow them to access their prefrontal cortex for learning. When they are triggered by an event at home or in school, their behavior comes out sideways. We need systems in place to cultivate cultures in school that will teach kids how to regulate their nervous systems. Teachers also need support for the strain this work t!akes on them. More personnel and training is needed is needed. It’s not 1960
