Get $$$ out of politics >> Pay state lawmakers more
From "Welcome to The New Hampshire Forum!"
Go to the project
A ban on corporate pacs and dark money being able to be accepted by NH lawmakers and candidates for politicial office would ensure that we move closer to a legitimate representative democracy. And if the pay of our local lawmakers can increase, it will allow for the state house to be more accessible to the average working lerson, and thus our policies that are enacted and better impact those working people and their families

Hawaii is making an effort to get darrk money and corruption out of politics. It is expected they will be challenged in the courts, but we could start that in NH by electing only candidates who refuse out-of-state money.

Get all the corruption out. End of story. Representatives said it I’ll need to go through a process. Make sure everybody’s legal and not committing fraud. And they need to start working for us not for themselves. Listen to the people don’t ignore anything.

i think there needs to be less reps. we even may need to implement a uni chamber instead of two. we don't need a Senate and a house like structure.
then distribute the savings between the reps
I even encourage citizens assembly as an alternative

I understand why people want reps to be paid more but with our legislature being as large as it is, paying more than a stipend would make the state hemorrhage even more money.

@Haley L. We need to decrease the number of reps, and pay them, because as of right now the only folks who are able to be representatives are elderly people, or people who are financially well off that they do not need an income, which means that everyone who is representing us in Concord is either old or rich and does not accurately reflect our state. That is a massive problem. From my perspective, most citizens in New Hampshire are experiencing taxation without representation, because there are very few people who are representing younger folks and is almost completely devoid of any type of diversity.
