New Hampshire Child Advocate has been stripped of independence

The New Hampshire Office of the Child Advocate is the only independent state agency charged with investigating complaints related to DCYF and other child serving agencies. Last session this agency was publicly attacked and their staff was cut in half. The administration and legislative branch did everything they could to take away this office’s independence which is fundamental to protecting our most vulnerable citizens.
