Property Tax IS a Housing Cost
From "Welcome to The New Hampshire Forum!"

As a landlord, I have to charge $1300/month just to pay taxes. Then I have to add the mortgage ($2400) , insurance, maintenance (grounds, painting, plowing, etc), repairs (roof, furnace, plumbing, etc). 3 bedroom house = $4500/month). Ridiculous

just spitballing here but have you considered selling the property? that way, you don't have to be concerned about expenses on a residence you don't even live in, and whoever does actually end up living in it doesn't have to pay a perpetual tax to you
win-win
