Raise the NH Minimum Wage
From "Welcome to The New Hampshire Forum!"
Go to the project
NH is the wealthiest state to default to the fed minimum wage of $7.25/hr, and our subminimum wage is $3.30/hr. I think an hour of Granite Staters’ time is worth more than that. Meanwhile over 61,000 Granite Staters make less than what they’d earn in any other New England state: double $7.25/hr. Looking at the costs of housing, childcare, healthcare, student loans and groceries, I see reason for anything less than $15/hr. Certainly NH workers are worth at least as much as any other New Englander! We must raise the wage now!

You'd be hard pressed to find many businesses that actually are only paying minimum wage.
The McDonald's near me constantly has a sign saying starting wage about double the minimum wage rate and "some shifts paying $20+/hr.
Let the market work as intended rather than what's occurred in California with wage mandates that have resulted in job losses and automated ordering replacing counter help.

The market should decide who gets paid what. Not politicians

Why does this say my name is Whale Lizard rather than Kris Schultz of Concord?
