Safety and Accountability of Children in the New Hampshire Justice System

For decades children in the care of the government of NH have experienced gaps in their care. Children have been abused and have died in the care of the state with limited accountability on the part of those responsible for keeping them safe and healthy. The ongoing issue with the Sununu Center lawsuit where children were abused, and the death of Harmony Montgomery are examples of where the state has failed to protect the children in its care.
