Solar - how can we make solar more accessible for individuals.

I am very interested in solar energy as I believe we will be facing energy shortages in the future and I want to do my part in protecting the environment. Also living on the seacoast solar back up may be the best alternative as a source of energy in a flooding situation. However, When I explore solar I'm overwhelmed by "promises". Could there be some criteria solar providers would have to follow in making claims or make some resources available to consumers so that we can be sure that we are choosing correctly.

Without the guidance you are looking for, seek out an employee owned business that is also a B Corp. These businesses are environmentally oriented and the staff is invested in you having a great experience - including promises that they meet.
