We need to allow parents of children with profound special needs to place them in schools that specialize in serving that population. No family should have to pay the legal cost to get their child the education they need

For most of human history, humans with developmental disabilities were simply shuffled away. Integration is a bold new concept, and it was furthered by deinstitutionalization in the 80s. This has made the jobs of both educators and police more difficult and turned us into glorified social workers.
