The State Legislature has continued to pass legislation which removes any local control of zoning, education, among other issues. Moreover, the legislature continues to pass costs on to the local Property Tax which is leading to a taxpayer revolt (voting to cap expenditures).

My Property taxes increased twice in last two year elections in my Town. Once the GOP backed the support to not get Federal Funds for Education...they didn't care if we had to pay for it individually. NH is the #2 State for using the Most Tax Dollars to pay for Rich Private School vouchers and 'at home' schooling. Texas is number one. Meanwhile our Property taxes climb bc we have to Fund the very Rich who pay ZERO taxes into Fed Govt and live in places like Rye and Moultonborough, New Castle where taxes are $5 per thousand bc they dont want to pay for public school funding as they Take our hard working Tax dollars to pay for their Kids private School we cant afford. Gov Ayotte sold her soul and we pay for it.

I'm with you. Local control means local decision-making. If the state wants to control local choices, they should be funding these decisions at a commensurate rate.

@Rebecca M. States decision to use OUR tax dollars in NH to pay for the Rich private schools and unregulated 'At home' schooling causes our Local taxes to go up. GOP majority are not conservative they are sponges
