Welcome to The New Hampshire Forum! Join thousands of Granite Staters who are raising their voices, finding common ground, and turning shared priorities into legislative action.
If New Hampshire's state leaders and residents could solve one problem, what should it be? In our first phase, Granite Stater selected the top issues they most want the state legislature to address in the 2027 legislative session. Now we're hosting real-time, face-to-face Community Conversations across the state and online to discuss possible solutions.

More cross-party problem solving
We need to find the ability to step away from party doctrine and find real solutions for real situations. The ability to listen with understanding, communicate with context and details. And accept compromise as a valid solution in a democratic society.
Public transportation in the North Country
As a Supported Employment Specialist for over 12 years, there’s no greater barrier for individuals with and without disabilities who want to work than TRANSPORTATION. Employers need people….with the housing market limited and expensive, transportation is a luxury for many. The only transportation is so limited it only works for the elderly to go shopping. Schedules don’t work for employers and when they need people.
No more vouchers
Fully fund public education. No vouchers.
Reform voting
Safe elections. Paper ballots, one day voting.
Parental Rights
Our current custody laws are not being followed by the New Hampshire Family Court Systems Administrative Process. This Defacto System operates with wide discretion, failing to uphold fundamental constitutional rights; evidentiary standards; and unequally applies laws based on randomized gender bias, differing from Judge to Judge and from District to District, prioritizing private profit of family law professionals instead of parental rights and the child’s best interests. Bring back the law if the land, the standard New Hampshire residents deserve.
Rise of Democratic influence.
We are basically a red state yet we have zero influence in Congress. Are our conservative views actually heard by our so called representatives…!!! I highly doubt it…!!! i
School vouchers
Education. The Voucher program is weakening our Schools and is discriminatory towards the families who cannot make use of the vouchers since they cannot pay the difference from what the Vouchers pay and the cost of the rest of the tuition.
Funding for education
Education funding. Caring for all NH children is essential. Private school education should never be funded with public dollars.
Contamination
Contamination of water sources like ponds, lakes, rivers etc.
Reduce division
Less partisanship. We need less them versus us and unity amongst all NH communities to support one another.
Common Ground
Rather than focusing on our differences, let's flip the script and search for Common Ground, as understood at the time our Declaration of Independence was written. Walter Isaacson articulates this clearly in his recent book The Greatest Sentence Ever Written. We are a mutifaceted community, with disparate perspectives, as was true 250 years ago. Nevertheless democracy requires us to live and work together now. For starters, we can find points of common ground and focus our efforts there, rather than on divisive issues.
Protect our environment
I'd like to plead that we protect our forests, water and soils from polluting companies and landfills. Please stop accepting trash from other states. We need leaders who care more about what makes this state a true natural treasure. Laws that protect the environment are laws that protect our people and our economy. Focus first on those and we'll be heading in the right direction. Thank you
Allowing China and others to buy land
We must ensure land is owned by US citizens only. Nashua is in trouble with China buying land at airport, waterways, etc.
